Operation Second Chance
Giving back to real-life heroes
Some of the greatest heroes among us today are not found on the on the pages of comic books, on the television or in the movies; they are the real-life heroes—the men and women who risk their lives every day to keep our country safe.
Operation Second Chance is a non-profit organization founded in 2004 at Walter Reed Army Medical Center whose goal is to support these superheroes. It has since expanded to help soldiers at other military hospitals, providing support to both active and retired soldiers recovering from traumatic injuries, including post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). The organization also hosts retreats aimed at making the transition back to civilian life easier for military personnel.
At Great Clips we recognize the sacrifices these brave men and women make every day to protect us and our families, which is why we partner with this great organization. In addition to helping spread the word about Operation Second Chance and the work it does for members of our military every day, participating Great Clips salon owners donate money to support soldiers and their families and fund retreats.
