Joel Strause

Joel is based in Charlotte, North Carolina, and brings extensive experience and insight to the Great Clips real estate team.

Prior to joining the company, he spent many years on the landlord side of the commercial real estate industry, developing strong market knowledge and long-standing relationships across the sector. His regional focus has included the Southeast, Midwest, and Mid-Atlantic markets, where he has consistently demonstrated a deep understanding of market dynamics and growth strategies. Joel excels at cultivating relationships, dealmaking, negotiations, redevelopment, value-add opportunities, and maximizing NOI at the asset level. His expertise and strategic approach make him a valuable asset as Great Clips continues to grow and expand its presence.

He is an active member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), participates on the Next Gen Committee, and holds the designation of North Carolina Real Estate Broker in Charge.

Outside of work, Joel enjoys traveling, spending quality time with his family, and staying active through fitness, running, tennis, and golf—pursuits that reflect his energetic and well-rounded approach to both life and work.
