Steve Hockett has been with the Great Clips brand for many years, since he started as a franchisee in 1988. He was hired by Great Clips, Inc. in 1993 as a marketing manager and served as regional director and Vice President of Operations before leaving to pursue other opportunities. He was president of FranChoice, Inc. (a franchise supplier) and then Rapid Refill Corp. (a small franchisor) before returning to Great Clips, Inc. in 2008. In the 14 years since, the Great Clips brand has grown from 2,700 salons to more than 4,400 salons, across 190 markets in the U.S. and Canada. Steve was promoted to Chief Executive Officer of Great Clips, Inc. in early 2018.

Steve holds a bachelor's degree from the University of South Dakota and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Notre Dame - Mendoza College of Business. He's committed to leadership in the business, franchise and Twin Cities communities, and serves on the board of directors for the Minnesota Business Partnership, the Children's Minnesota Foundation, the International Franchise Association and Greater MSP. He has previously served on the board of directors for the Delta Tau Delta Foundation, Hazeltine National Golf Club and Holy Family Catholic High School.
