Great Clips Launches Annual Children's Miracle Network Fundraiser

Minneapolis, Minn. (March 2016) – Every October, Great Clips salons launch their annual fundraising campaign for local children’s hospitals. Salons across the United States sell the iconic Children’s Miracle Network balloons to benefit their community’s hospitals.

In 2015, Great Clips salons raised over $600,000 to help the 17 million kids who are treated at 170 not-for-profit Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals each year. The sizeable donation is a sign of the commitment of Great Clips salons to work together and rally support within their local communities for the annual campaign.

“Each year, Great Clips salons across the U.S. step up to the plate to help their local children’s hospitals by participating in the Miracle Balloon campaign,” said Terri Miller, vice president of marketing and communications for Great Clips. “The combined efforts of salons and stylists, and their customers’ generosity shows that together we can make a difference in our communities.”

Great Clips recognizes that with great success comes great responsibility. This attitude is central to the Great Deeds® program, which calls corporate staff, franchisees, and Great Clips stylists everywhere to give back to the communities where they live and work.

“Great Clips has earned a solid reputation as a very charitable company centered on the needs of their local community,” said John Lauck, president and CEO of Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. “Millions of children and their families have benefited from the contributions made by Great Clips and its generous customers over the past several years. We are thankful that so many Great Clips salons take the initiative to help raise money for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals each year.”
