MINNEAPOLIS, September 27, 2013 – Every October, Great Clips salons from coast to coast work together to help local children’s hospitals by selling Children’s Miracle Network balloons. At participating salons, consumers receive $2 off a future haircut for each balloon purchased.
All of the funds raised during this campaign go directly to that community’s local Children's Miracle Network Hospital. These dollars provide things like life-saving equipment, health education, new medical services and uncompensated care for the 62 sick and injured children that are admitted to a Children’s Miracle Network Hospital every minute.
Great Clips recognizes that with great success comes great responsibility. This attitude is what led to the creation of their Great Deeds™ program, which calls corporate staff, franchisees, and Great Clips employees everywhere to give back to the communities in which they serve. Their participation in the annual Miracle Balloon campaign is just one example of the many ways Great Clips salons support their community.
“The generosity of all the people associated with Great Clips, either as an owner, stylist or customer help make this campaign a success,” said Terri Miller, vice president of marketing and communications for Great Clips.
“We are thrilled and thankful that so many Great Clips salons take the initiative to help raise money for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals each October,” said John Lauck, president and CEO of CMN Hospitals. “Great Clips has earned a solid reputation as a very charitable company centered on the needs of their local community. We're happy our hospitals, and the kids they serve, have been beneficiaries of their employees’ enthusiasm and customers’ generosity for the past seven years.”

About Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals®
Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals raises funds for 170 children’s hospitals across the United States and Canada, which, in turn, use the money where it’s needed the most. When a donation is given it stays in the community, helping local kids. Since 1983, Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals has raised more than $4 billion, most of it $1 at a time. These donations have gone to support research and training, purchase equipment, and pay for uncompensated care, all in support of the mission to save and improve the lives of as many children as possible.
