Making the Grade with Convenience at Back-to-School

Online Check-In allows customers to add their name to the wait list of a Great Clips salon—before they arrive. Customers are able to search for their preferred location on www.greatclips.com, click on the Check-In image on the map, and enter their name and phone number. The information is immediately routed to the salon’s computer register where the customer’s name will appear on the wait list. Whether they check in remotely or at the salon, customers are taken in the order they were added to the list.

The new Online Check-In service is available at Great Clips’ 3,000 salons across the United States and Canada, including free iPhone and Android apps.

 “We are especially excited about our free downloadable apps,” says Steve Hockett, Great Clips Sr. VP of Operations. “In addition to the apps making Online Check-In more convenient, we can continue to improve the customer experience based on the comments posted by our app users.”

When asked what enhancement request Great Clips hears the most, Hockett responded, “Many users ask for the option to see stylist schedules. Although we are listening and will continue to enhance the check-in feature based on customer feedback, this is one change we will not make. We are uncomfortable with possible safety elements around publishing stylist schedules."

Although Online Check-In does not let you request a specific stylist, you can save time by getting in line virtually with any one of the licensed stylists at your nearest Great Clips salon.
