Great Clips and Turner Broadcasting to promote Memphis Beat

MINNEAPOLIS, June 6, 2011—Great Clips, the world’s largest hair salon brand, is teaming up with Turner Broadcasting System, Inc. in a multi-network promotional partnership. In a deal brokered by Turner Media Group, the two brands have come together in a collaborative partnership that will promote Great Clips and Turner television networks TNT and HLN.

During the month of June, Great Clips customers will see promotional materials for TNT’s hit series Memphis Beat throughout nearly 3,000 salon locations across the United States and in other Great Clips marketing vehicles. With 5 million customers expected to walk through Great Clips doors during June, the word will easily spread about this hit series. Memphis Beat is expected to launch its second season on Tuesday, June 14th at 9 pm (ET/PT). In Sept., Great Clips salons will feature promotional materials for Turner-owned network, HLN.

The promotional partnership provides on-air and online exposure that allows Great Clips to reach Turner Broadcasting’s key audiences.

“This is a unique partnership between two well respected brands. We are constantly working on unique ways of getting our message out to our customers, while maximizing the value of our marketing budget. Turner Broadcasting/TNT saw the benefit of our large customer base, and saw a way to advertise their hit show to their target audience in a way that was outside mainstream media. We couldn’t ask to be in better company than Turner Broadcasting and TNT,” said Terri Miller, vice president of marketing and communications for Great Clips, Inc.

"This mutually beneficial partnership is a unique way for Turner brands to interact with our target audiences in the midst of their daily routines, providing this captive audience with entertaining messaging that drives reach and awareness for our programming,” said Holly Wasson, vice president, asset management for Turner Media Group.
