MINNEAPOLIS, July 7, 2011—What’s in a word? For Great Clips, the world’s largest salon brand, the word “great” is about more than just quality haircuts at an affordable price. Enter EverythingGreat.com. A new website focused on sharing what “Great” means to those within the communities where Great Clips salons operate. This social movement aims at building a community around the “great” things that are happening all around us.
EverythingGreat started with the formation of the Great Squad—a select group of Great Clips stylists, managers and franchisees who are passionate about sharing all the “Great” things happening in their local communities. These brand ambassadors share their “Great Stories” on EverythingGreat.com and through the brand’s Facebook and Twitter profiles.
“Our salons pride themselves on being part of their local communities, so it makes sense for us to share the Great things that not only our salons are doing, but our communities as well,” said Samantha Reges, a Great Squad Member and a Great Clips general manager in Cedar Rapids, Iowa area.
The site also features stories from a select group of Great Bloggers, hand-picked by the brand to share their unique voices and stories from Minnesota to Georgia on EverythingGreat.com.
Beyond Great Stories, the site features a family-friendly Great “Clip” of the week and an area dedicated to contests and giveaways from Great Clips and their brand partners.
“For many of the customers that visit our salons, it’s much more than just receiving a haircut,” said Terri Miller, Great Clips vice president of marketing and communications. “EverythingGreat allows us to take those relationships and community involvements that are taking place offline and bring them online and connect with others that are doing similar things in their communities.”
